Students Intensify Preparation Ahead of OOU Examinations Beginning June 22
AGO-IWOYE — As examinations commence from June 22, students of Olabisi Onabanjo University have intensified academic preparations across campuses, with revision sessions, group discussions, and increased use of library facilities becoming more noticeable among undergraduates.
With examination activities approaching, many students described the period as one marked by discipline, planning, and renewed academic focus. Lecture notes, past questions, and departmental study groups have become central to preparation efforts as students seek to improve performance and successfully complete the semester.
Several students interviewed expressed mixed feelings of anticipation and pressure. While some noted that early preparation helped reduce examination tension, others admitted the challenge of balancing revision with personal responsibilities.
A 300-level student explained that the examination period usually changes the atmosphere across campus, as students spend longer hours studying and attending revision meetings. Another student emphasized the importance of adequate rest and time management rather than relying on last-minute reading.
Academic discussions have also increased on digital platforms and among classmates, with students exchanging study materials and helping one another understand difficult topics.
University examination periods are generally associated with increased academic activities and preparation among students, while official academic updates are typically communicated through the institution’s official channels.
Students have also been encouraged to maintain examination ethics, arrive early at venues, and ensure they are properly informed about departmental schedules and requirements.
As the examinations begin on June 22, the expectation across the university community remains that adequate preparation, consistency, and adherence to examination guidelines will contribute to a smooth exercise and positive academic outcomes.
